Unit 4 of Balakovo NPP restarted

Unit 4 of Balakovo NPP has been restarted

On Apr 8 at 06:36 PM, after the removal of a failure in the external energy system, unit 4 of Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant was restarted. The capacities of units 2 and 3 have been restored.

All the four units are in service. On Apr 9 at 08:00 AM they were operating at a total capacity of 3,967MW.

The radiation background at Balakovo NPP and in the nearby area is within norm.
