President Putin has congratulated physicist Yuri Oganesyan on his 75th birthday
President of Russia Vladimir Putin has congratulated the head of the laboratory of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, academician Yuri Oganesyan on his 75th anniversary.
Oganesyan is known as a researcher in the field of experimental nuclear physics, particularly, heavy ion physics. He is the author of over 250 scientific works, 3 monographs and over 10 reviews. He has been awarded the orders of the Red Banner of Labor, Badge of Honor, Friendship Among Nations, For Services to the Motherland.
“You are deservedly regarded as a big scientist, who has made an outstanding contribution to the development of nuclear physics. You have research and discoveries of truly global importance,” says Putin in his greetings telegram.
He points out Oganesyan’s big work as a teacher. “There are lots of well-known researchers among your pupils. I wish you success, health and all the best,” says Putin.
