Since the beginning of 2008 Leningrad NPP has produced 10.312bln KWh

In May the plant has generated 1.566bln KWh.

Since its launch in Dec 1973 the plant has produced a total of 747.204bln KWh.

Presently, 2nd, 3rd and 4th units of Leningrad NPP are operating safely at a total capacity of 2,960MW.

On May 23 the 1st unit was stopped for scheduled mid-term maintenance.

The 2nd unit is operating at a capacity of 1,000MW.

The 3rd unit is operating at a capacity of 980MW.

The 4th unit was restarted on May 20 after scheduled short-term maintenance. The capacity of the unit is being raised.

All the reactors are operating safely.

According to the 26 stations of the automated radiation control system of Leningrad NPP, the radiation background at the plant and in its nearby area is 0.14 microSv/h, which is within norm.
