Iberdrola specialists have visited Kola NPP

Kola Nuclear Power Plant has conducted a seminar with the participation of a group of specialists from Iberdrola (Spain). Kola NPP was represented by specialists of the radioactive waste treatment department. The seminar was part of the Soft Assistance program carried out by the European Commission and Rosenergoatom Concern. This program envisages conduct of consultations, exchange of experience on specific subjects and provision of software products.  

The key topic of the seminar was handling of solid radioactive waste. The Iberdrola experts have studied the experienced of their Russian colleagues and will make recommendations on how to improve their radioactive waste treatment system and how to apply new equipment – Iberdrola has big experience of effective maintenance of nuclear power plants.

Such meetings are held at Kola NPP very often. A month ago the plant received guests from Italian NUCLECO. The seminar was also about radioactive waste treatment.
