4th touristic rally of nuclear workers “Energy of the Baltic Sea” took place at Leningrad NPP (Sosnovy Bor) June 28-July 3

Over 200 people – 7 from Balakovo, Volgodonsk, Kalinin, Kola, Leningrad and Smolensk NPPs, Nuclear Energy Institute (St.Petersburg) and Yuventa youth sports club (Sosnovy Bor) took part in the rally

The program of the rally included: orienteering, (individual and team), rock-climbing (individual and team), combined relay race, water tourism, volleyball, futsal, street-ball as well as the Best Bivouac, Best Traveler’s Launch and Best Traveler’s Song contests.

Volgodonsk NPP (Vertikal club) won the Challenge Cup of the contest: they scored 100 points.

Below is the final standing: 

1. Volgodonsk NPP – 100 pt.
2. Leningrad NPP – 91 pt.
3. Smolensk NPP – 87 pt.
4. Kalinin NPP and Nuclear Energy Institute – 71 pt.
6. Balakovo NPP – 52 pt.
7. Kola NPP – 32 pt.

The winners have been awarded cups, medals, certificates and valuable prizes.

All teams have been granted budges and booklets about the rally.

The organization was excellent despite certain difficulties. The atmosphere of was most friendly. “We have become a real family,” the captain of the team of Kola Nuclear Power Plant, the director of Vector club Nikolay Grishin said during the awarding ceremony.

“We are sure that the energy this rally has given us will suffice for a whole year for joint hiking tours and new discoveries. See you next year, dear friends,” Grishin said.
