Leningrad NPP: Production and economics

July 1–7 2008 Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant fulfilled 101.3% of its electricity production plan. Since the beginning of this year the plant has generated 13.517bln RUR or 99.9% of the plan (17.2mln KWh less than planned).

On July 1 at 06:00 PM Leningrad NPP produced its 750,000,000,000th KWh. “No other Russian NPP has produced so much,” says the director of LNPP Valery Lebedev.

Presently, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th are operating safely at a total capacity of 2,960MW. The 1st unit is under maintenance.

Financial-economic activities

Last week a delegation of Leningrad NPP took part in a meeting of the Sosnovy Bor Energy Committee concerning the water discharge tariff in the city. The tariff was set at 19.67 RUR per 1 c m.

The Financial and Economic Department of Leningrad NPP submitted to the Federal Statistical Service of Russia a report on the plant’s performance in June 2008. In June 2008 the plant produced 2.123bln KWh or 102% of the plant and 18,000 Gcal or 76.6% of the plan.
