A seminar of the WANO Moscow Center will be held in the Business Center of Kalinin NPP Dec 12–14. The seminar is part of the “Partner Inspections” program
It is meant for the KNPP experts (a total of 20 employees of the plant’s different departments) and will be held by WANO MC advisor Sergey Vybornov. The training course and the recommendations received during the seminar will help the experts in their further partner inspections at their own plant and at the MC NPPs.
The “Partner Inspection” program is aimed at ensuring maximum efficiency and security at NPPs. Its participants exchange information and best experience.
Such inspections reveal both strong and weak points of NPPs and their results are submitted to the management of inspected plants or operating organizations. Such confidentiality fosters openness and mutual understanding between experts and NPP personnel and allows the sides to carry out a frank and comprehensive exchange of opinions and experience on the activities of inspected NPPs.
The seminar in Udoml will discuss these and many other subjects, particularly, the key points and the general process of the partner inspections, mutual understanding between partners, the purposeful use of work time .
While opening the seminar, the coordinator for KNPP/WANO cooperation Anatoly Nikolayev noted that the objective of the seminar is to teach the KNPP experts how to act during partner inspections. “The experts should master the methodology of partner inspections to be able to shortly carry out “self-inspection”: in Jan 2007 the trainees are to inspect the KNPP according to the WANO MC methodology,” Nikolayev said.
