About the operation of Novovoronezh NPP Dec 3–9 2006

The following is the emission of radioactive gases and aerosols through the NPP aerating ducts taken as percentage of admissible levels:

— neutral radioactive gases — 3.4 %

— radioactive iodine-131 – 0.1 %

The radiation situation at the NPP is normal.

The averaged gamma background at the NPP, in the town of Novovoronezh and at the 20 spots controlled by the Automatic Radiation Monitoring System sensors installed in 13 settlements 30 km away from the NPP complied with the natural background for the Central European region of Russia.
