Target inspection completed at Beloyarsk NPP

Dec 11–15, 2006, Rosenergoatom Commission carried out a special target inspection at Beloyarsk NPP

Similar inspections were carried out at all Russian NPPs on the instruction of Director General of Rosenergoatom S. Obozov. During the visit, the commissioners inspected the following activities of the NPP:

• operational status
• work with personnel
• work order
• security culture

The commissioners familiarized themselves with the work organization at the NPP and visited the plant’s site. Their findings will be submitted to Director General of Rosenergoatom in the form of a report containing a general analysis of all Russian NPPs and corrective measures for eliminating deficiencies.

The commissioners have received the preliminary results of questioning and business game on human factor and work security. The participants in the business game discussed information on positive and negative experience in raising security culture and human factor efficiency, presented their views of how to improve the situation and to remove obstacles to this end. They noted that one of the key obstacles to high security culture a the BelNPP is poor work flow.
