Construction of 4th unit of BelNPP discussed

The project for the construction of the 4th unit of the Beloyarks NPP (BN-800 fast breeder reactor) was discussed during a working meeting in the town of Zarechny on Dec 15. Attending the meeting were representatives of Rosenergoatom (owner), BelNPP, St. Petersburg Atomenergoprojekt (general designer), Uralenergostroy (general contractor) and Zarechny administration.

The sides discussed the results of the state contracts on the project in 2006 and tasks for 2007.

They noted that 100% of the capital investment allocated from the Federal Budget for the project for 2006 have been spent.

Among the tasks for 2007 are:

concluding agreements on complex equipment supply

increasing construction and installation personnel to 1,500–1,800

providing the project with necessary equipment (mobile concrete plant, cranes, concrete pumps)

spending Federal Budget allocations worth a total of 5bln RUR
