3rd unit of Kalinin NPP restarted

The 3rd unit of Kalinin NPP was restarted on Dec 21 4:47 PM

The unit was suspended on Dec 17 for repair of the turbine shop equipment in line with the request coordinated with Rostekhnadzor and Rosenergoatom.

Presently, the NPP has 3 operative units working at total 3,025 MW capacity.

No violations of safety norms have been registered.

The radiation background in the nearby area is within norm.
