Balakovo NPP fulfills annual plan

On Dec 20, on the eve of the Day of Power Engineer, Balakovo NPP fulfilled its annual production plan – 29.582bln KWh.

It was a very pleasant news for the NPP employees who came to the Balakovo Drama Theater on Dec 22 to mark the Day of Power Engineer. For 21 years the plant has been operating stably and safely and has always been the biggest electricity producer in Russia and one of the best in the Rosenergoatom concerns.

During the evening Deputy Director General of Rosenergoatom-Director of Balakovo NPP V. Ignatov pointed out that all the sub-divisions of Balakovo NPP have greatly contribution to the plant’s efficiency in 2006. “I would like to note that our NPP has never produced as much electricity as it produced this year,” Ignatov said.

Technical Director of Rosenergoatom N. Davidenko said that the Rosenergoatom management has recognized Balakovo NPP as having the best security culture among all the Russian NPPs in 2006. He presented Ignatov with a memorial plaque.

The authorities of the Saratov region and Balakovo and Balakovo district awarded certificates of honor and gratitude to the plant’s employees. Over 200 employees were rewarded for their work.

The evening was completed with concert.
