About the operation of Novovoronezh NPP Dec 17–23, 2006

The 3rd, 4th and 5th units worked at planned capacity.

The emission of radioactive gases and aerosols through the plant’s aerating system taken as percentage of admissible control limits is as follows:

— neutral radioactive gases — 1.9%
— radioactive iodine-131 — 0.2%

The radiation situation at the NPP was normal.

The averaged gamma-background in the territory of the plant, in the town of Novovoronezh and at the 20 points controlled by the Automated Radiation Control System sensors installed in 13 settlements within the 30-km zone complied with the natural background of the Central European Region of Russia.
