About the operation of Beloyarsk NPP Dec 18–24, 2006

The BN-600 unit worked at nominal capacity.

No changes in the radiation situation or violations of safety limits were registered during the week. The emission of neutral gases made up 0.01% of the admissible level.

The radiation situation in the town of Zarechny and the area near the plant was within norm.

The radiation background in the town was no more than 5.0 micro roentgen/hour (0.05 micro sievert/hour).

The natural radiation background in the territory of Russia is 4–20 micro roentgen/hour (0.04–0.2 micro sievert/hour)
