1st and 3rd units of Smolensk NPP are operating at 2017 MW

The 2nd unit of the plant is being repaired with some of the fuel assemblies being replaced. The repairs will last for 176 days till Sept 11 2007.

In Mar the plant supplied the united energy system of Russia with 1.346bln KWh. Since the beginning of this year it has produced 4.146bln KWh, which is 20mln KWh more than planned.

The radiation background at the plant and in the nearby area is within norm.
