Smolensk personnel cares for Orthodox churches
On Mar 24 a group of Smolensk NPP employees visited Holy Trinity monastery — one of the biggest monasteries in Smolensk region, founded by Gerasim Boldinsky in XVI. For many years already the personnel of the plant has been providing assistance to the monastery: food, money, tree planting.
The primate of the monastery Father Antoniy thanked the guests for their help and invited them to the consecration of a new building for pilgrims. Generally, the plant’s employees make such visits together with their children. This time, too, they came with 30 children — pupils of Sunday cathedral schools. Their trip was free of charge. It has become a good tradition for the personnel of the plant to take part in charitable actions for the restoration of Orthodox cathedrals and monasteries.
