Laureates of Elemash award 2006 known

On Apr 5 the Technical Council of Elemash (Mashinostroitelny Zavod, Elektrostral, Moscow region) proclaimed the winner of the plant’s award 2006

The winner is the project of a complex of pellet and fuel rod loading equipment. The authors of the project are the employees of the plant’s Central Automation and Mechanization Laboratory Y. Kostikov, V. Prozorov, Y. Golubev, V. Gorbachev and S. Ulizko.

This project is part of the plant’s Cost Reduction Program. It offers automated complexes of fuel pellet and fuel rod loading as part of the automated WWER-440 fuel rod assembly line. The project makes the pellet production effective, economic, easy and cheap.

The other nominee was the technology of repair of molybdenum-CM2A boats for fuel pellet sintering. As a result of this project, the plant will no longer have to buy new molybdenum boats. The economic effect of the project is estimated at 14.7mln RUR.
