About the work of Novovoronezh NPP Apr 1–7 2007

The 3rd, 4th and 5th units of Novovoronezh NPP worked according to the plan

The emission of radioactive gases and aerosols via the plant’s aerating system given as percentage of the control limits:

— neutral radioactive gases – 3.%

— radioactive iodine-131 – 1.1%

The radiation situation at the plant is within norm.

The averaged gamma radiation background at NNPP, in the town of Novovoronezh and at the 20 points controlled by the Automated Radiation Control System sensors in 13 settlements of the 30-km zone is within norm.

As of Mar 27 the water level on the Don River near the plant made up 83.2m, the rise – 1.2m according to the Baltic system (82m = “0”).
