Scientific-Technical Council for Capacity Substitution of Kola NPP holds enlarged meeting

On Apr 24 the Scientific-Technical Council for Capacity Substitution of Kola NPP held an enlarged meeting

Attending the meeting were representatives of I.I.Afrikantov Experimental Design Bureau of Machine Building, Atomenergoproject (Nizhniy Novgorod), Atomenergoproject (St.Petersburg), Rosenergoatom’s Directorate for Floating NPP Projects, Murmansk Shipping Company.

The specialists of OKBM and AEP (Nizhniy Novgorod) reported about their work on the projects of medium-capacity NPPs based on nuclear shipbuilding technologies.

They presented a draft project of 900 MW WBER-300 reactor and a relevant NPP.

The project is very safe, efficient and economical.

The electrical capacity of a WBER-300 NPP makes up 335 MW.

The sides exchanges views concerning the implementation of the project and the possibilities of cooperation between design companies and Kola NPP.
