Technical state of Smolensk NPP

The 1st and 3rd units of Smolensk NPP are operating are at a total capacity of 2020 MW.

The 2nd unit is being repaired with some of its assembly channels being replaced.

In Apr the plant produced 1.452bln KWh. The capacity factor was 2.5% higher than planned. Since the beginning of this year the plant has produced 6.175bln KWh – 94mln KWh more than planned.

The radiation background at the plant and in the nearby area was within norm.
