Smolensk NPP operates safely and efficiently

The 1st and 3rd units are operating efficiently at a total capacity of 2015MW.

The 2nd unit is being repaired, with some of its assembly channels being replaced.

In May Smolensk NPP supplied the united energy system of Russia with 628mln KWh. Since the beginning of this year the plant has produced 6.515bln KWh, which is 111mln KWh more than planned.

The radiation background at the plant is within norm.
