3rd unit of Kursk NPP to be stopped for planned maintenance

On May 15 the 3rd unit of Kursk NPP will be stopped for 21-day planned maintenance

During the maintenance the personnel will check up the plant’s equipment and safety systems. The repairs will be carried out by the repair personnel of the plant and the contractor organizations. The turbine department will have to repair the turbines and to clean the heat exchange equipment.

Deputy Chief Engineer for Repairs Nikolay Balitsky says that the repair personnel will do their best to carry out the maintenance timely and effectively and to ensure further safety and efficiency of the plant.
