The 2nd International Contest of Children’s Drawings “Peaceful Atom is the Future of the World,” organized for the children of TVEL and Energoatom (Ukraine) employees, is over
The awarding of the winners took place at Tretiakovskaya Gallery on May 18. Attending the ceremony were the head of Rosatom Sergey Kiriyenko and the managers of TVEL and Energoatom.
The first prize was given to Nadezhda Teterina from Slavutich (Ukraine), the second to Natalia Komarova from Glazov (Russia), the third to Andrey Bochkarev from Krasnokamensk (Russia).
The finalists got 7 special prizes: Maria Lerner from Elektrostal and Natalia Mishina from Novosibirsk – “For Deep Insight into the Subject,” Vladimir Yaroshik from Neteshin and Polina Averyanova from Novosibirsk – “For Expressiveness,” Alexander Slobodenuk from Yuzhno-Ukrainsk, Olga Gorbachenko from Energodar and Andrey Pershuta from Kuznetsovsk – “For Artistic Approach.”
This year the International Contest of Children’s Drawings involved over 200 pupils — children of employees of Elemash, Chepetsk Mechanical Plant, Novosibirsk Plant of Chemical Concentrates, Khmelnitsky, Zaporizhie, South-Ukrainian and Rivno NPPs (Ukraine). The contest is aimed at cultivating positive attitude towards nuclear energy among children and strengthening social and cultural ties between Ukraine and Russia.
