1st unit of Kursk NPP to be stopped for planned repairs

On May 10 2007 the 1st unit of Kursk NPP will be stopped for planned repairs

The repairs will last for three weeks till June 30. The repair services will inspect and renovate the 1st and 2nd turbine generators and some other equipment.

The repairs are expected to be quick and effective.

This measure is aimed at enhancing the safety and the efficiency of the unit.
