Turbine generator of 5th unit of Novovoronezh NPP was stopped because of “false” signal

The 14th turbine generator of the 5th unit of Novovoronezh NPP was stopped because of “false” signal about “closed position of the stop valve”

Now the unit is operating at 50% of its capacity. The 3rd unit is being repaired. The 4th unit is operating according to the schedule.

The radiation situation is normal.

The averaged gamma background at the plant and in the nearby area is within norm.

To remind, the turbine was automatically stopped today, June 18, at 10:28 AM.
