The 4th and 5th units operated according to the schedule

The 3rd unit was under planned repairs: the reactor was being refueled, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th steam generators and the equipment of the turbine and reactor departments repaired.

The radiation situation at the plant was within norm.

The averaged gamma background at the plant, in Novovoronezh and at the 20 points controlled by the Automated Radiation Control System sensors installed in 13 settlements of the 30-km zone was within the levels typical of Central European Russia.
