Balakovo NPP proves highly quality of its management system

Balakovo NPP is the first Russian NPP to have passed quality management re-certification audit

The audit was carried out on July 8 2007 by two commissions: one for state standard, the other for certification of equipment, products and technologies for nuclear plants, radiation sources and storage facilities.

Both commissions have confirmed the high quality of the plant’s management system and pointed out that it is being constantly improved.

The commissions have recommended the certification authorities to provide Balakovo NPP with relevant certificates.

Three years ago Balakovo NPP was the first Russian NPP to have its quality management system certified. Both certificates are the Russian analogues of ISO and prove that the plant’s units are not only efficient but also safe.
