About the work of Novovoronezh NPP July 15–21 2007

4th unit of the plant operated according to the schedule.

The 3rd unit was under repairs.

On July 14 the 5th unit was stopped for planned maintenance and refueling. During the period the personnel dismantled the reactor system.

The radiation situation at the plant was within norm.

The average gamma background at the plant, in Novovoronezh and at the 20 points monitored by the Automated Radiation Control System sensors installed in 13 settlements of the 30-km zone was within the level typical of Central European Russia.
