Smolensk NPP operates safely and efficiently

The 1st and 3rd units of Smolensk NPP are operating safely at a total capacity of 1970MW.

The 2nd unit is being repaired with some of its assembly channels being replaced.

In July Smolensk NPP produced 1.042bln KWh, since the beginning of this year — 9.805bln KWh, which is 251mln KWh more than planned for the period.

The radiation background at the plant and in the nearby area is within norm.
