Unit 1 of Kalinin NPP under repair

On Aug 25 unit 1 of Kalinin NPP will be stopped for 50-day repairs

During the repairs the personnel will refuel the reactor and will carry out the second stage of the modernization of the reloader.

Presently, Kalinin NPP has two operating units.

The plant is operating safely. The radiation background at the plant and in the nearby area is within norm – 7–14 mRh.
