As of today, Aug 24, since its launch Leningrad NPP has produced 728.506bln KWh
Since the beginning of this year the plant has produced 16.247bln KWh with the annual plan being 24.210bln KWh, in Aug — 1.118bln KWh.
Today, on Aug 24, Leningrad NPP has two operating units – 1st and 4th – working at a total capacity of 1,980MW.
The plant is operating safely.
Unit 2 is under overhaul. The personnel are carrying out an ultrasonic testing of the welded joints of the big pipes. They have already inspected 226 welds. Steam turbines of the 3rd and 4th turbine generators and 3rd and 4th generators are being repaired.
The repairs of the 2nd unit are to be finished Oct 5 2007.
Unit 3 is also being repaired, with 274 channel assemblies to be replaced and a complex safety system to be launched during the repairs.
Presently, the personnel are testing the welded joints of the controlled circulation circuit. They have already tested 387 welds.
The personnel are also preparing for the replacement of channel assemblies, completing the installation of frame crane tracks, removing old fuel rods.
The 5th generator is being repaired, the 6th generator being prepared for repairs.
The radiation situation at Leningrad NPP and in Sosnovy Bor and its neighborhood is within norm.
The maximum radiation background in the 30-km zone is 0.15 mSvh, which is within norm.

Since Apr 1 2002 Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant has been the branch of Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian State Concern for Production of Electric and Thermal Power at Nuclear Power Plants” (Rosenergoatom Concern).
The plant has four units with RBMK-1000 reactors with a total capacity of 4000 MW. In 2006 the plant produced 23.178bln KWh.
The plan for 2006 — 21.330bln KWh – was fulfilled on Dec 5 2006.
