Unit 2 of Kalinin NPP restarted

Unit 2 of Kalinin NPP was restarted on Aug 2007 6:59 PM after mid-term repairs

The low pressure regeneration system has been restored. Now the unit is operating at full capacity.

The plant is operating safely.

Presently, Kalinin NPP has two operating units. Unit 1 has been stopped for mid-term repairs.

The radiation background at the plant is within norm.
