On Aug 25 unit 1 of Kalinin NPP was stopped for 50-day repairs

5,730 operations are to be carried out during the repairs. The reactor is to be refueled, the reloader – modernized.

1,871 people will be involved in the repairs: 1,656 local employees and 215 specialists from contractor organizations.

Presently, Kalinin NPP has two operating units.

The plant is operating safely. The radiation background at the plant is within norm – 7–13 mR/h.
