31.08.2007 // Information Department of Leningrad NPP

As of today, Aug 31 2007, since its launch, Leningrad NPP has produced 728.841bln KWh

Since the beginning of this year the plant has produced 16.582bln KWh with the plan for the year being 24.210bln KWh. In Aug the plant generated 1.452bln KWh.

Presently, units 1 and 4 are operating at a total capacity of 1984 MW.

The plant is operating safely and efficiently.

Units 2 and 3 are being overhauled.

At unit 2 the personnel are testing the welded joints of big pipelines and the safety systems, overhauling generator 4 and repairing generator 4.

At unit 3 the personnel are preparing pipelines for supersonic testing (with 496 welded joints already tested), replacing channel assemblies, repairing generator 5 and inspecting generator 6.

The old safety control system is being dismantled to be replaced by a new complex system.

The radiation situation at Leningrad NPP, in Sosnovy Bor and in the nearby area is within norm, which proves that the plant is safe.

The maximum radiation reported by the automated radiation control system of the plant is 0.14–0.15 mSv/h, which is within norm.

For detailed information about the radiation situation at LNPP and in the nearby area see the web-site of the plant.
