Over 3,000 baby grass carps released into the cooling pond of Kursk NPP

Over 3,000 baby grass carps were released into the cooling pond of Kursk NPP on Sept 5. The fish is farmed at Kursk NPP. The grass carp eats plants and its presence in the cooling pond is expected to have a positive effect on its ecology.

Presently, the water management department of Kursk NPP is preparing a feasibility report for releasing shellfish and red-finned mullet into the pond.
