Fire prevention training

Kalinin NPP has conducted fire prevention training

On Sept 13 2007 Kalinin NPP conducted fire prevention training in line with the schedule of the Chief Department of the Emergency Ministry for Tver region.

The objective of the training was to improve the skills of the plant’s operators for responding to possible fire and interacting with firemen. The training went off well with all the tasks fulfilled.

Presently, the 2nd and 3rd units of the plant are operating safely at full capacity. The 1st unit is under mid-term planned repair.

The radiation background at the plant and in the nearby area is within norm.
