On Sept 16 at 11:00 PM Leningrad NPP caught up with the electricity production schedule
The plant fell behind the schedule in Apr-May 2007 due to delay in the repair of its 4th unit.
During an operational meeting today the deputy director general of Rosenergoatom-the director of Leningrad NPP Valery Lebedev congratulated the personnel on this achievement. “We were 700mln KWh behind the schedule. Today, we are 1mln KWh ahead and we should keep up this pace till the end of this year.”
As of today, Leningrad NPP has fulfilled 109% of the plan.
Today, Sept 17, units 1 and 4 are operating at a total capacity of 1995 MW. Units 2 and 3 are under repair.

Since Apr 1 2002 Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant has been the branch of Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian State Concern for Production of Electric and Thermal Power at Nuclear Power Plants” (Rosenergoatom Concern).
The plant has four units with RBMK-1000 reactors with a total capacity of 4000 MW. It employs 5,977 people: 5,635 industrial employees and 342 non-industrial employees and pays them 26,695 RUR a month: 27,306 RUR to industrial personnel and 11,380 RUR to non-industrial personnel.
In 2006 the plant produced 23.178bln KWh. The plan for 2006 — 21.330bln KWh – was fulfilled on Dec 5 2006.
