Unit 3 of Kalinin NPP restarted

Unit 3 of Kalinin NPP was restarted on Sept 19 2007 at 5:25 PM Moscow time

Presently, the unit is operating at full capacity.

The unit was stopped on Sept 17 because of problems in the equipment of the second circuit. All problems have been removed.

Units 2 and 3 are operating safely and efficiently. Unit 1 is under repairs.

The radiation background at the plant and in the nearby area is within norm.
