Unit 5 of Novovoronezh NPP to be stopped for planned repairs

On Sept 22–28 2007 unit 5 of Novovoronezh NPP will be stopped for planned repairs

Presently, units 3 and 5 of Novovoronezh NPP are operating according to the schedule.

Unit 4 is being repaired and refueled.

The radiation background at Novovoronezh NPP is within norm.

The averaged gamma background at the plant, in Novovoronezh and at the 20 points monitored by the Automated Radiation Control System sensors installed in 13 settlements of the 30-km zone was within the limits typical of Central European Russia.
