WANO mission at Balakovo NPP

WANO technical support mission is visiting Balakovo NPP

A WANO technical support mission has started its work at Balakovo NPP in the framework of WANO Moscow Center’s program. The mission comprises Timothy Martin (WANO Atlanta Center, the United States), US instructor Paul Williams and instructors of the training centers of Kalinin, Kursk, Leningrad, Novovoronezh and Smolensk NPPs.

The experts have come to consult the instructors of the training center of Balakovo NPP on how to improve the methods of personnel training on simulators, particularly, the simulator of unit control board.

Such missions are the key task of WANO. They help nuclear power plants worldwide to summarize and use advanced experience in the field of nuclear power technologies
