Labor protection contest at Kola NPP

The final of the labor protection contest took place at Kola NPP on Friday

The engineer of the Metrology Department Aleksey Mikhaylov was proclaimed the winner.
 
He will represent the plant at the general Rosenergoatom contest, to be held at Volgodonsk NPP in Nov.

In his address to the finalists the chief engineer of Kola NPP Vasily Omelchuk pointed out that labor protection has always been regarded as the key prerequisite of safety and has been given enhanced attention in the last years.

The contest had two rounds. The leaders of the preliminary rounds had won the right to take part in the final. The finalists had to answer 70 questions in 1.5 hours, but they did that much quicker. The head of the Labor Protection Department Valery Belyov was satisfied with the results. All the contestants showed excellent knowledge of the labor protection rules. Electrician Valery Korobov was the second, fitter Andrey Veretennikov – the third.
