Since its launch in 1973 Leningrad NPP has generated 730.207bln KWh
Since the beginning of this year the plant has produced 17.948bln KWh with the plan for the year being 24.210bln RUR. In Sept the plant has generated 1.317bln KWh.
Presently, units 1 and 4 are operating according to the schedule at a total capacity of 2000 MW.
The plant is operating safely.
Unit 2 is being overhauled.
Unit 3 has been under repair for 69 days already: the personnel are testing the jointed welds of the pipelines and are replacing the technological channels.
The radiation situation at Leningrad NPP, in Sosnovy Bor and in the 30-km zone is within norm, which proves that the plant is safe.
According to the plant’s Automated Radiation Control System, the maximum radiation background in the area is 0.13–0.14 mSv/h, which is within norm.
Note:
Since Apr 1 2002 Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant has been branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian State Concern for the Production of Electric and Thermal Power at Nuclear Power Plants” (“Rosenergoatom” Concern). The plant operates 4 units with RBMK reactors 1000 MW each.
In 2006 LNPP produced 23.178bln KWh against planned 21.330bln KWh. 21.198bln KWh were supplied to the energy system of Russia.
