Moscow Engineering Physics Institute is 65

Today Moscow Engineering Physics Institute is marking its 65th anniversary.

The institute was established in 1942.

Since then the institute has opened new departments and faculties, introduced new specialties, changed its requirements, but not traditions.

The victory of MEPI at the last contest of universities implementing innovative education projects in the framework of the “Education” national program was not a coincidence.

Today, the Government is planning to establish a federal nuclear university on the basis of MEPI – a center for training specialists for the country’s nuclear industry.

The new status will open a new page in the history of MEPI and will orient it towards new pan-national goals.

MEPI is one of the key research and methodological centers of Russia, a source of innovation, culture and patriotic education. The research schools of MEPI are known worldwide.
