Balakovo NPP is ready for winter

An expert commission of Rosenergoatom Concern has inspected Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant and has found out that the plant is ready to meet the peak demand of the autumn-winter 2007–2008.

The plant has received a certificate of preparedness for winter signed by the acting director general of Rosenergoatom Concern Alexander Lokshin.

In Oct 2007-Mar 2008 Balakovo NPP is supposed to supply consumers with 13.249bln KWh. The plant’s stable and efficient work is a big contribution to the energy safety of the country during winter.
