On Nov 19–26 2007 Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant operated safely with no single incident registered during the week.

In Nov 2007 the plant produced 116mln KWh more than planned for the month. Since the beginning of this year Leningrad NPP has generated 21.973bln KWh or 101.1% of the plan (239mln KWh more than planned). In Jan-Nov 2007 the capacity factor of the plant made up 69.57%.

Such statistics were given by the chief engineer of Leningrad NPP during the last meeting of the heads of the plant’s departments.

Presently, units 1, 2 and 4 are operating at a total capacity of 3076MW.

Unit 3 is being overhauled. The personnel have already refueled the reactor and are completing the repair of the turbines. “They are working quickly and efficiently,” Chernikov said.

In the framework of the preparations for the contest “The Best Collective Agreement 2006,” the Economic Forecast Department of Leningrad NPP has prepared a report on the plant’s expenses under its collective agreement 2006. In 2006 the plant spent 345.103mln RUR, which makes up 56,600 RUR per employee.

The plant has informed the Federal Tariff Service about its productive electricity and heat supply in Oct 2007: 1.436bln RUR for electricity and 8.9bln RUR for heat.

Today, Nov 26 2007, the Rosenergoatom nuclear power plants operating 27 units and 43 turbine generators, which are working at a total capacity of 20GW against planned 19.4GW. Since the beginning of this year the plants have generated 141bln KWh, which is 2.5bln KWh more than planned.

Note

Since Apr 1 2002 Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant has been the branch of Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian State Concern for Production of Electric and Thermal Power at Nuclear Power Plants” (Rosenergoatom Concern).

The plant has four units with RBMK-1000 reactors with a total capacity of 4000 MW. It employs 5,977 people: 5,635 industrial and 342 non-industrial employees and pays them 26,695 RUR a month: 27,306 RUR to industrial personnel and 11,380 RUR to non-industrial personnel.

In 2006 LNPP produced 23.178bln KWh against planned 21.330bln KWh. 21.198bln KWh were supplied to the energy system of Russia.

Since its launch the plant has generated over 730bln KWh.
