French experts inspect NCCP’s facility for storage of lithium-containing materials

A group of French experts have inspected NCCP’s facility for storage of lithium-containing materials

A group of experts from the Defense Ministry and the Atomic Energy Commissariat of France have inspected the lithium-containing materials storage facility of Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrate Plant (NCCP).

The inspection was part of the Russian-French “Aide au demantelement” (aid in utilization of nuclear weapons in Russia) launched in 1992. NCCP’s lithium storage facility has been built under the above program.

The project was financed by the French side (with some part of the money provided by the plant). The facility was commissioned on Dec 16 1997. Since then the French side has been regularly inspecting it with no deficiencies recorded so far.

Now too the French experts were satisfied with the state of the building and with the high professionalism of NCCP’s personnel.
