Two workers killed in an accident at Balakovo NPP

Two employees of Hydromontazh OJSC died as a result of an accident on Nov 28 3:01 PM

Hydromontazh was replacing the support cables of the dome of the reactor compartment of unit 4 of Balakovo NPP.

One of the cables broke and the workers fell down.

The accident is being investigated.

Unit 4 of Balakovo NPP has been under repair for 18 days already. The other units are operating at fully capacity. The radiation background at the plant is within norm.
