Team of Bilibino NPP wins Cup of Governor of Chukotka Autonomous Okrug

The program of the Cup of the Governor of Chukotka Autonomous Okrug included volleyball, basketball, mini-football, ping-pong and power-lifting tournaments. The events took place in Bilibino Nov 10–26 2007.

For two weeks 13 teams representing organizations and companies of Bilibino district fought for the Cup. Bilibino NPP was the first in volleyball and basketball and the second in mini-football. Rudnik Karalveem OJSC was the best in ping-pong.

Representatives of Bilibino NPP Sergey Korsakov, Vladimir Kotlov, Vasily Grinin and Roman Dvortsov were the best in their categories in power-lifting. Dmitry Krivoshapov was the third.

As a result, the team of Bilibino NPP was proclaimed the winner, Gorod team was the second, Housing and Public Utilities – the third.

The awarding ceremony took place in the hall of Children’s Art School. The winners were granted certificates, medals and cash prizes, the sportsmen of Bilibino NPP – the major prize, the Cup of the Governor of Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.

Such sports events are conducted in Bilibino every year with a view to strengthen friendly and business ties among the local companies and organizations and to popularize healthy lifestyle among the local population.
