Since its launch Leningrad NPP has generated 734.529bln KWh
Since the beginning of this year the plant has produced 22.270bln KWh with the annual plan being 24.210bln KWh. In Nov the plant generated 2.132bln KWh.
Presently, units 1, 2 and 4 are operating safely at a total capacity of 3055MW.
The plant is operating safely and efficiently.
Unit 3 has been under repair for 132 days already. Presently, the personnel are removing the defects detected during the supersonic testing of the welded joints of DU-300 large-diameter pipelines, overhauling the stop valves of Du-800 pipelines, covering the tubes of the condenser with anti-rust coating, repairing generators 5 and 6, installing special systems and refueling the reactor.
The radiation situation at Leningrad NPP, in Sosnovy Bor and in the nearby area is within norm.
The maximum radiation background at the 30-km zone monitored by the plant’s Automated Radiation Control System is 14 mSvh, which is normal for the region.
Note:
Since Apr 1 2002 Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant has been branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian State Concern for the Production of Electric and Thermal Power at Nuclear Power Plants” (“Rosenergoatom” Concern). The plant operates 4 units with RBMK reactors 1000 MW each.
The plant has four units with 1000 MW RBMK reactors.
In 2006 LNPP produced 23.178bln KWh against planned 21.330bln KWh. 21.198bln KWh were supplied to the energy system of Russia.
Since its launch the plant has produced over 734bln KWh.
