In 2007 Leningrad NPP will be one of the best among Rosenergoatom’s NPPs

In 2007 Leningrad NPP will be one of the best among Rosenergoatom’s NPPs, the chief engineer of the plant Oleg Chernikov said during his meeting with heads of departments.

He pointed out that Dec 1–15 2007 Leningrad NPP fulfilled 108% of its electricity production plan (88mln KWh more than planned).

In Jan-Dec 2007 Leningrad NPP fulfilled 101.5% of the plan. Since the beginning of this year the plant has generated 23.531bln KWh (353mln KWh more than planned). At the moment the capacity factor makes up 70.03% against planned 68.98%.

“If we keep up this pace we will have one of the best results among Rosenergoatom’s NPPs,” Chernikov said.

Presently, units 1, 2 and 4 are operating at a total capacity of 3083MW. Unit 3 is under repair.

204 employees of the plant and 138 employees of 6 contractor organizations were trained in the past week. 9 employees were attested with a total of 241 employees attested since the beginning of this year – 93% of the plan.

As of Dec 17 2007 Rosenergoatom’s nuclear power plants are operating at a total capacity of 19.7GW against planned 19.8GW. Since the beginning of this year the plant has produced over 151bln KWh – 2,8bln KWh more than planned.

Since the beginning of this year the plants registered 49 incidents against 40 incidents a year before.

Note:

Since Apr 1 2002 Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant has been branch of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Russian State Concern for the Production of Electric and Thermal Power at Nuclear Power Plants” (“Rosenergoatom” Concern). The plant operates 4 units with RBMK reactors 1000 MW each.

The plant has four units with 1000 MW RBMK reactors.

In 2006 LNPP produced 23.178bln KWh against planned 21.330bln KWh. 21.198bln KWh were supplied to the energy system of Russia.

Since its launch the plant has produced over 735bln KWh.
